Format

The Matrix is provided as a Microsoft Excel format (.xls) spreadsheet. This file format is easily considered the industry-standard for spreadsheet. The spreadsheet includes 5 worksheets that organize the tools into development tool categories: General, PowerPoint, Flash Templates, System, and ScreenCast.

By providing a "source" spreeadsheet (as opposed to a non-editable PDF) we allow our customers to customize the data, create reports, and manipulate the information to fit their requirements.

The Matrix is built upon standard spreadsheet design concepts. Each column represents an authroing tool. The rows represent a feature or technical component. The cells are populated with values - either numberical, text, or lists.
