When you movie is ready you will need to publish it in order to display the movie within the Control Pad.
| 1. | Select File > Publish or click Publish in the Captivate toolbar. |
| 2. | Uncheck Export HTML. You’ll be using the Control Pad HTML file instead. |
| 3. | In the Flash Player Version drop-down menu, any value (7, 8, 9) is compatible with the Control Pad. |
| 4. | In the Folder field click Browse and navigate to the control_pad/flash folder. |
| 5. | Uncheck Publish to new folder to publish directly inside the /flash folder.
Alternatively, you can publish the movie to another location on your computer and then copy the movie (.SWF) to the control_pad/flash folder yourself. |
Notes
| • | Inside the /flash folder the sample.swf file is included in order to provide a working example file. You can delete the sample.swf file once you’ve published your own Captivate movie. |
| • | The filename of your .SWF file can follow any naming conventions you have. We recommend not including any space or special characters in the filename. |
| • | When you change the name of the Captivate movie, you’ll need to change the reference to this file in the .HTML page within the <head> tag. Instructions are included further on in this document. |
