Launch Pad

When I preview the index.html file on my local PC, I get a Flash Security Warning before each movie loads? How do I get rid of the security warning?

The security warning you see when you click a menu item and load a Flash movie on your local PC is triggered by Flash's built-in security protocols. This warning message is not presented to users who view the Launch Pad from a web server on the Internet/Intranet.

You can edit Flash's security settings on your local PC to avoid the security message from displaying. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Adobe's Flash Security Global Settings internet site at: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04a.html.
  2. Click Always allow.
  3. Click Edit Locations > Add Location.
  4. Click Browse for Folder.
  5. Select the folder which contains the Flash movies you are trying to display.
  6. Click OK.
TIP: If you typically develop and publish your project in the My Documents/My Adobe Captivate Projects folder, we recommend browsing and selecting the My Documents folder. The security allowance will cascade to any subfolder for a project under the My Documents folder automatically.
